The Blood Of Jesus - Part 1 of Many

10.02.06 (7:25 pm)   [edit]
We open this Blog Post with our focus on Covenants. The Bible speaks in depth of Covenants made down through the ages between God and man. When we study the confirmation of the Covenant that the Lord made with his people through Moses, [Exodus 24:1-8], we find that Moses then took the blood, sprinkled it on the people and said, "This is the blood of the Covenant that the Lord has made with you in accordance with all these words." [Exodus 24:8] Part 1 of this series for this post is entitled, "Christ Came Offering His Own Blood." Scriptures: Hebrews 9: verse 11 through verse 14. Hebrews 9:11 When Christ came as High Priest of the good things that are already here, He went through the greater and more perfect tabernacle that is not man-made, that is to say, not a part of this creation. Hebrews 9:12 He did not enter by means of the blood of goats and calves; but He entered the Most Holy Place once for all by His own blood, having obtained eternal redemption. Hebrew 9:13 The blood of goats and bulls and the ashes of a heifer sprinkled on those who are ceremonially unclean, sanctify them so that they are outwardly clean. Hebrews 9:14 How much more, then, will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself unblemished to God, cleanse our consciences from acts that lead to death, so that we may serve the Living God! Moses sprinkled, Jesus washed. Moses cleansed the outer-man. Jesus cleansed the soul of man. Amen. See you shortly for part 2. The_Marquise
