06.16.05 (3:35 pm) [edit]Ecclesiastes 5: 4 says, "When you make a vow to God, do not delay in fulling it. He has no pleasure in fools, fulfill your vow."
Ecclesiastes 5: 5 says, "It is better not to vow than to make a vow and not fulfill it."
In Ecclesiastes 5: 6, the writer says, "Do not let your mouth lead you into sin."
Don't make promises to God that you are not sure you can keep, don't say you're going to do something and not mean it or not do it. It has been said that "a persons word is their bond". A promise to God, a vow to God is more than just your bond, it is the making on your part of a total commitment to accomplishing what you say you will.
God does not accept lies or false promises and because He knows your heart, you must be for real when you make a vow to Him.
Don't make promises that you can't keep, especially promises to God.

Our God is a God of love, infact, He is the author and creator of love, and so as John says, we love because He first loved us. We love because he not only set the example for us, but He placed love in our hearts, that we may be like Him in love.
We know how good and wonderful it is to love and to be lovedl. Man writes ballards, books, poems, and songs about love. Young hearts pass notes to, carve trees for and stare misty eyed at their love object. And they profess it to be the love of their lifetime.
We love, because He first loved us. But, does His having first loved us impact on what we do, who we are and who and what we will become?
