The Sacrifice Of Fools [Part II of Many]

05.23.05 (1:16 pm)   [edit]

We are admonished by Ecclesiastes 5:2: Do not be quick with your mouth, Do not be hasty in your heart to utter anything before God. God is in Heaven and you are on earth. Ecclesiastes 5:3 says, As a dream comes when there are many cares, so the speech of a fool when there are many words.

On occassion you might hear someone say, "he/she is just talking loud and saying nothing." Such behavior as noted by Ecclesiastes 5:3, is the act of a fool.

Paul, in Romans 1:22,23, described the plight of godless, wicked men who suppress the truth through their wickedness. Romans 1:22,23 - "Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like mortal man, and birds and animals and reptiles." How great is the sacrifice of fools when they choose a lie over the truth. How awful is the sacrifice of fools, when they choose to worship and serve created things rather than the true and living God. In Ecclesiastes 7:5, the writer says, "It is better to heed a wise man's rebuke than to listen to the song of fools." Again, Paul writing to Corinth says in Ist Corinthians 4:10, "We are fools for Christ... How many of you know that this is the kind of fool that we as Christians must be. Being a 'fool' for Christ will keep you from making the sacrifice of fools who suffer godlessness and are wicked men who cannot accept the truth.

If you are able to folllow me through this walk with the Lord using your Bible, you will be doubly blessed by embracing the Word in actuality as we join together here in Spirit and in Truth.

First John chapter four verse 18 says, There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The man who fears is not made perfect in love.

John 4:18

The Sacrifice Of Fools [Part I of Many]

05.19.05 (4:52 pm)   [edit]

(When You Make A Vow To God, Do Not Delay In Fulfilling It.)

Ecclesiastes 5:1 - Guard your steps when you go to the house of God. Go near to listen rather than to offer the Sacrifice Of Fools, who do not know that they do wrong.

Let's Pray:

Heavenly Father, we offer up praise to You in the name of Your Son, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We honor You, we praise You, we magnify Your holy and divine name.
We thank You for all things that are blessed by You, given to us through the intercession of Your Son our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
We call on the name Jesus. We approach Your throne with neither quickness of our mouth or haste in our hearts Father. For we know that You are in Heaven and we are on the earth, therefore we offer few words and we listen, that we might not offer the Sacrifice of Fools. In Jesus name.

Amen

What's In A Name?

05.16.05 (6:23 am)   [edit]

Most of us who are devout Christians are aware of the Bible as much more than words simply written on paper, and we also realize that because the Bible is the inspired Word of God, its meaning and message is much greater than the physical content. Therefore, it should come as no surprise that even the names of the persons mentioned and the places referred to in the Bible have meanings that transcend the physical and have a direct relationship to the Word. For instance, the 28th book of the old testament is by the prophet Hosea whose name means "The Lord Saves" or "The Deliverer."

In his prophecy, in three parts, Hosea: 1. takes us through an illustration of Israel's Sin in the form of the tragedy of his wife (Hosea Chapter 1 - 3) 2. He defines Israel's Sin and Punishment (Hosea Chapter 4 - 13:8) 3. Finally, he reveals to us the ultimate blessing and glory of Israel's restoration (Hosea 13:9).

In Hosea Chapter 14:4 it is written, "I will heal their backsliding, I will love them freely: for my anger is turned away from him."

Chapter 14:5 - 7 is nothing less than sheer spiritual poetry. Read Chapter 14, verse 5 - "I will be as the dew upon Israel: he shall grow as the lily, and cast forth his roots as Lebanon; Chapter 14, verse 6 - "His branches shall spread, and his beauty shall be as the olive tree, and his smell as Lebanon."; Chapter 14, verse 7 - "They that dwell under his shadow shall return; they shall revive as the corn, and grow as the vine: the scent thereof shall be as the wine of Lebanon."

Thus, we find that "The Lord Saves", is a fitting meaning of the name Hosea and the conformation of that meaning is Hosea's prophecy.

"To Us A Child Is Born"
Luke 2:6 And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered.
Luke 2:7 And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.
Luke 2:10 And the Angel said unto them, fear not; for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.
Luke 2:11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord.
Luke 2:12 And this shall be a sign unto you; ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.

We must thank the Lord everyday
for coming into this world on our behalf
so that through Him, we might have salvation.

Let Us Pray Together
Be merciful unto us,
O God, be merciful unto us:
for our soul trusteth in thee:
yea, in the shadow of thy wings
will we make our refuge,
until these calamities be overpast.  Psalm 57:1.

Perfect Love
Perfect love drives out fear. 1 John 4:18 says,
"There is no fear in love. But perfect love
drives out fear, because fear has to do with
punishment.
The man who fears is not made perfect
in love."
